Pediatric Services
Psychoeducational Evaluations
Psychoeducational testing often includes classroom observations and collaboration with teachers or tutors involved in your child’s academics. We aim to provide parents and caregivers with specific answers and explanations about your child’s academic difficulties. We will identify your child’s strengths while also addressing their challenges through tailored remediations, specific recommendations, and personalized interventions.
A psychoeducational evaluation may be appropriate for the following concerns:
Accommodations for standardized testing including the SAT, ACT, AP, LSAT, GRE, GMAT, and MCAT
Determination of special education eligibility and Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs)
Identifying reasons for academic decline
Neuropsychological Evaluations
Neuropsychological evaluations may overlap with educational evaluations depending on your child’s medical and/or developmental history.
We provide neuropsychological evaluations to help:
Determine, confirm, or clarify your child's diagnostic picture
Obtain a record of your child's functioning before treatment with medicine or surgery
Identify and monitor changes in your child after medical treatment (testing can be repeated to determine if the treatment changed your child's functioning)
Specifically, a neuropsychological evaluation can be beneficial if your child has any of the following:
ADHD
Autism
Developmental Concerns (including speech, motor, etc...)
Concussions / TBI
Seizures
Neurological disorders (including but not limited to spina bifida, hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy, history of seizures, neurofibromatosis, tuberous sclerosis, and brain tumors)
Other medical concerns (including but not limited to infectious diseases, Lyme disease, and diabetes)
Genetic disorders
Exposure to toxins both prenatally or at any time in your child's life
A history of unsuccessful treatment following a previous evaluation
Adult Services
Social/Emotional Testing
We provide psychological testing to assist you and your psychotherapist and/or psychiatrist in clarifying your diagnostic picture and treatment needs.
Psychological testing is particularly beneficial for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, or unspecified mood-related difficulties when medication or psychotherapy have not been sufficient. We will collaborate with your psychotherapist or psychiatrist to help determine an appropriate course of treatment for you.
Neuropsychological Evaluations
We provide evidenced-based neuropsychological evaluations. We will work closely with the patient and /or family and collaborate with the referring provider, medical care team, and other professionals in the community to ensure the highest quality of care.
Neuropsychological Evaluations for adults may be appropriate for:
Adult ADHD
Autism
Cerebrovascular diseases
Early detection of dementia
Neurodegenerative Disorders
Memory loss
Recent behavioral changes
Neuropsychiatric disorders
